Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Transfer Of Data
Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.
If you are located outside United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to United States and process it there.
Remote Walk uses the phone’s GPS capability to track your progress while walking, so it can mirror it along the virtual walking route. Although the app does read the coordinates of your local “real” position, those coordinates are only used to calculate the distance you have traversed along the in-progress virtual route.
Bottom line is that your real location coordinates are not stored nor transmitted by the Remote Walk app. The distances you travel and other details about the virtual walk, such as your steps count, are written locally on the device for the History feature.
Email & Support
We provide the ability for you to send us email with feedback, suggestions and problems. In this case we will get your email address and obviously any information that you may have put in the email itself before sending.
We will only use this information for the purpose of us contacting you in reply to the email, and the reply will be related to the subject of the original message. We will not add your email to our marketing list (unless you specifically request us to).
We will also not disclose your email address or other personal information in the emails to third parties unless legally compelled (see Legal Requirements section).
We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service.
Social Media Sharing
Remote Walk has the ability to share information about your walks to other apps including Facebook and Twitter. This is to let your friends know about Remote Walk and what you are doing there. There is also a general share feature in the More menu of Remote Walk to let your social media friends know about the app itself.
Sharing to social media is under your control. The Remote Walk sharing feature uses standard Apple iOS APIs as well as the Facebook iOS SDK API. These mandate nothing is ever shared without you initiating it. Also you will always see a preview of the share so you can review before you submit. At this time we do not request you to log into a social media account and the sharing features simply launch the apps and share if you are already logged into the social media app itself.
Links To Other Sites
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”).
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
